As Minnesota’s natural history museum and planetarium, the Bell aims to provide high quality science and nature learning for all Minnesotans no matter where you are in the state!

The Bell Museum brings together science, art, and the environment with a unique Minnesota perspective. We offer school groups a world-class experience, working with you to achieve your educational goals.

Details:

  • Field Trips can be scheduled Wednesday-Friday mornings starting October 5th
  • Educators must book their trip a minimum of three weeks in advance of the visit date
  • Scholarships are available for schools with a minimum of 50% Free and Reduced Lunch – scholarships for bussing are also available – please inquire when booking
  • School groups must be a minimum of 15 students – depending on the number of students we may request to split your group into two bookings or to visit on two separate dates

K-12 Experiences

Pricing

Create your own learning experience! The first experience is $6 per student and each additional experience is just $3 per student. Pricing includes one free adult for every 8 students; additional adults are charged the student rate.

One experience: $6 per student

Two experiences: $9 per student

Three experiences: $12 per student

 

Scholarships

Scholarships and bus funding are available on a first-come, first-served basis for schools with 50% or higher Free or Reduced Lunch.

Booking & Visit Details

School trips must be booked at least three weeks in advance. The minimum size for discounted educational group rates is 15 people.

Accessibility: The Bell Museum strives to make its facility accessible to all. We are able to work with individual groups to provide appropriate accommodations for their specific needs to facilitate a lasting and meaningful experience for everyone. Please let us know of your needs when booking your experience. We are happy to arrange captioning, ASL interpretation, or other accommodations with a two-week notice. For additional information, please ask during booking.

Lunch Options: Limited space is available for groups at no additional cost. Lunch spaces must be reserved at time of booking.

Inclement weather: In the case of school closures, we will work with groups to reschedule their visit for a later date. Please contact us as soon as possible once you know your school will be closed.

Cancellations: Cancellations will only be accepted for cases of force majeure (bussing or transportation issues, inclement weather, or other extraordinary circumstance). There is a one-time option to reschedule, dependent on availability.
