With our new planetarium, reimagined exhibit halls, and outdoor learning landscape, the Bell is the perfect place for homeschool families to find hands-on learning to complement their science curriculum.

Discovery Journals
Discovery Journals are provided for students Grades 2-12 to explore the galleries with experiences aligned with their curriculum standards.
Homeschool Field Trips
Homeschool Groups or Co-ops are encouraged to visit the Bell for our new homeschool days! These special events for homeschool families include a planetarium show, museum visit, and hands-on activities. See the dates and get more information below!
Homeschool Groups or Co-ops that have 50 or more youth/adults can book a field trip experience at the Bell Museum using the K-12 Field Trips form.
Key Booking Details:
- Visits must be booked 3 weeks in advance of visit date
- A 1:8 Chaperone/youth ratio is required, adults beyond the 1:8 ratio will pay the student rate
- Field trip experiences are booked Wednesday-Friday mornings
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking. The rest of the balance will be gathered within 30 days of the visit.
- Cancellations will only be accepted in case of force majeure (inclement weather/other extraordinary circumstances) – in case of cancellation there will be a one-time option to reschedule the visit (based on availability).
Homeschool General Group Visits
Homeschool families or groups with 10-15 youth can receive the group discount rate for a museum, planetarium or combo (one planetarium show and museum admission) visit.
These visits include a self-guided museum visit (educational materials can be provided), and admission to one public planetarium show. These experiences should be requested 2-3 weeks in advance to receive the group rate and should be scheduled on weekday afternoons (1-4pm) or on weekends.
