Explore passes
Qualifying guests receive free museum gallery admission passes and discounted planetarium show tickets ($4 for adults/seniors; $3 for youth).
You must be at least 18 and enrolled in one or more of the following: TANF, MFIP, SNAP, General Assistance, Medical Assistance, MinnesotaCare, WIC, Supplemental Security Income, Social Security Disability Benefits, Food Stamps, Section 8, or Free/Reduced Price School Meals. Present any appropriate documents related to the above programs at the lobby desk.
Curiosity memberships
We welcome qualifying families to become museum members! Curiosity Memberships are available for purchase at our front desk for $15, and offer a year of free gallery admission and $2 planetarium tickets. Free admission for PCAs
Admission fees are not charged for on duty personal care assistants who accompany their clients to the museum.
Blue Star Museum
We are proud to be a Blue Star Museum, offering year-round free gallery admission for active-duty military personnel and up to five family members. Note: Planetarium show tickets are sold separately and not part of this discount.
This program is available to any bearer of a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), a DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card.
Waived admission for Indigenous peoples
The Bell Museum sits on the traditional and treaty land of the Dakota people who, along with the Ojibwe people, are the Indigenous peoples of the land now called Minnesota. In recognition of this fact, and to honor the Dakota people for their care of and knowledge of this land, we waive general museum admission for Dakota and all Indigenous peoples. Read more here.
