Our Bell Museum Summer Science Programs are an opportunity for your camper to get hands-on learning experiences with University experts right on-campus! 

Please note: these science programs will occur on the St. Paul campus, campers will be dropped off at specific buildings on campus and NOT at the Bell Museum.

We run multiple sessions of the same camps, using the same curriculum and activities each time. To get the best experience for your camper, we recommend registering for different camps.

Camp Hours: 9am to 4pm 
Drop off: 8:30–9 am & Pick up: 4–4:30 pm

Capturing the Cosmos

How do we know what we know about the cosmos? In this camp, we will investigate how scientists use light to study everything in the universe. We will learn how telescopes work, colorize astrophotography, and even talk with astronomers from the University of Minnesota in this action-packed camp!

Climate Science in Action

This program is located on St. Paul Campus

This week will be filled with hands-on and minds-on learning! You will work alongside scientists from the University of Minnesota to explore how humans are changing our planet. Learn how human actions are affecting the world’s water sources and discover how we can use new technologies to sustainably grow food for a growing population. This program will be based on the University’s Saint Paul Campus and will include learning in working research facilities. Join us for a fun-filled week to learn how to create a more sustainable and prosperous future for all.
