Explore, discover, and connect with the Bell Museum.

Minnesota’s official natural history museum has been preserving and celebrating the state for over 144 years. We have relocated to the University’s St. Paul campus, and opening summer 2018. The new Bell Museum brings together science, art, and the environment with a unique Minnesota perspective. Our new home features a digital planetarium, high-tech exhibits, our famous wildlife dioramas, outdoor learning experiences, and more.

Located on the University of Minnesota’s St. Paul Campus, the new Bell Museum offers school groups a world-class experience from the moment of booking to visit to departure.  Our new building was designed with school groups in mind: our dedicated Schulze Education Entrance, four full-size classroom/lab spaces, state-of-the-art planetariums, and world renowned wildlife dioramas facilitate a seamless and rich visit every time.

Partner with our education team to provide standards-focused, collaborative learning experiences for your students as we connect students with current scientific research taking place right here at the University.  Ranging from guided tours, planetarium shows, and science labs, our education programs support classroom learning through hands-on, interactive, unique experiences.  Keep student curiosity alive after your visit by utilizing our post-visit activities provided to support every experience.
