April Star Party

Friday | April 12, 2019 | 8:30 pm10:00 pm

Explore the sky with the Bell Museum! We host free telescope observing nights during the University’s Fall and Spring semesters on the Ruth & John Huss Observation Deck. These are very informal and family-friendly (recommended ages 7+). Admission is free, but donations are welcome and appreciated.

The evening begins with an intro to the Minnesota night sky in the Whitney and Elizabeth MacMillan Planetarium (seating is limited). Our astronomy team will give you helpful stargazing tips and guide you through observations of the same celestial objects that have inspired sky-gazers throughout history!

Star Parties are mainly outdoor events and take place rain or shine. In the case of poor weather, indoor activities will be planned in place of telescope observing.

Advance registration required. Click here to sign up online today!

Minnesota’s Astronomy Classroom is generously supported by Ruth and John Huss. Note: museum galleries are not open during Star Parties.
