Nature Obscura: A Conversation with Naturalist and Author Kelly Brenner (online event)

With wonder and a sense of humor, Nature Obscura author Kelly Brenner aims to help us rediscover our connection to the natural world that is just outside our front door—we just need to know where to look. Through photographs, stories, and conversation, Kelly will introduce us to some of the overlooked nature that lives in our cities and offer tips on how to find it. 

Event will be hosted online via Zoom. Tickets are $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers. Ticket holders will receive a link with purchase.

About the author:

Kelly Brenner is a naturalist, writer, and photographer based in Seattle and is the author of Nature Obscura: A City’s Hidden Natural World. She has been published in Popular Science, Crosscut, National Wildlife Magazine, and The Open Notebook, among others, and also writes on her website (www.metrofieldguide.com) about urban nature, books, poetry, folklore, and other natural history topics. She is active on Twitter (@KellyBrenner) where she shares nature observations, photos, and other science communication.
