Tuesday | December 18, 2018 | 7:00 pm9:00 pm

$5 – $12

A happy hour forum for science and culture, Cafés offer a unique experience for adults to explore our world from distinct and surprising viewpoints—drawing connections between scientific research, culture, environment and everyday life. Enjoy lively talks on a variety of topics led by guest speakers from the University of Minnesota and beyond along with the atmosphere of the Bryant Lake Bowl theater in Minneapolis.

Doors open at 6pm; food & drink are available for purchase prior to the presentation.

Special Note: This is our last Cafe Scientifique at the Bryant Lake Bowl location. Stay tuned for new adult programs from the Bell Museum in 2019.

Featured Speakers: Parke Kunkle and Sarah Komperud

Cruise through space and time on Starship Scientifique, with astronomer Parke Kunkle and Bell Museum planetarium programs coordinator Sarah Komperud as your guides. We’ll use the Bell Planetarium’s advanced technology to explore the Cosmos: from the Big Bang through the formation of our planet, as well as upcoming astro events and the latest discoveries throughout the Universe. Bring your burning questions for our interactive version of “A Star is Born,” and let your curiosity soar!

Tickets available online (click here) or the night of the event.
