Café Scientifique: Regenerative Biology

Tuesday | April 17, 2018 | 7:00 pm8:00 pm

$5 – $12

A happy hour forum for science and culture, Cafés offer a unique experience for adults to explore our world from distinct and surprising viewpoints—drawing connections between scientific research, culture, environment and everyday life. Enjoy lively talks on a variety of topics led by guest speakers from the University of Minnesota and beyond along with the atmosphere of the Bryant Lake Bowl theater in Minneapolis.

Featured speaker: Keith Sabin, PhD Candidate at the University of Minnesota

This month’s Café Scientifique will focus on regeneration and the species that scientists use to study regeneration – sea anemones, planaria flat worms, zebrafish, frogs, salamanders, and mice. We will also discuss the ways in which lessons learned from these critters have fostered advances in clinical approaches that could be used to treat human diseases.
