Bell Museum Members Only

Join us November 16 from 12pm-1pm to dive deep into the world of combtooth blennies – nearshore mostly marine fishes (~ 400 species). Peter Hundt, Associate at UMN Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center will share his research on this group of very small, understudied, and intensely interesting fishes. Participants will learn about blennies that live almost exclusively on land, others that possess enlarged canine-like teeth with venom glands, have wildly diverse diets that range from fish scales – detritus – corals, and much more including aggressive mimicry.
