Solution Studio

Using Creativity to Answer Questions

Sponsors of Solution Studio—on view June–September, 2020—will have the opportunity to ignite curiosity at the intersections of design thinking and scientific discovery for nearly 50,000 visitors. Museum sponsorships serve as a unique backdrop for achieving business and community social responsibility objectives now and into the future.

As a sponsor of Solution Studio, your company will help provide the community with an inside look into the advances and innovative thinking that propel the University and the state by providing interactive puzzles and challenges based on pressing research questions.

In 2019 these challenges included “Solve the Puzzle,” based on the chronic wasting disease research of Peter Larson of the College of Veterinary Medicine; “Select the Traits,” based on Atena Haghighattalab of the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences and her research on plant phenomics; “Navigate a Spacecraft,” focusing on research and solar probe development by Keith Goetz, Cynthia Cattell, and John Wygant of the College of Science and Engineering; and “Sample Solution,” featuring research on Lake Superior by Jay Austin, University of Minnesota Duluth–Large Lakes Observatory.
