Sketch-a-thon

Fox art
Join us for an evening of sketching and painting in the museum. Whether you're looking to fill up your sketch book or set up an easel in the diorama halls this event is for you! Be prepared, because this is roughing it on the indoors.

How does it work?

Check-in at the front desk of the Bell Museum between 7:00 - 9:00 pm—the museum doors will be locked after that and no entry will be permitted. At 9:00 p.m. there will be a general meet and great and welcome.

You don't have to spend the whole night at the museum. You may leave at anytime, but if you leave between 9:00 pm and 6:00 am you will not be readmitted for security reasons. If you do stay with us, we ask that you have your items packed up in time for the museum to open at 9:00 am.

Supplies

We will provide a selection of basic art supplies, light snacks and staff to assist you with specimens. You should bring your personal art supplies. You are welcome to set up easels in the museum, but please bring a drop cloth/towel if you are using a non-water based medium.

Pack something comfortable to nap on—like a sleeping bag and camping mat—as well as picnic-style meals. You will have access to restrooms, water, and our break room (including a fridge, freezer, and microwave).

Also, the museum gift store will be open from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.
