This fall, the Bell's Jaques Gallery will be filled with art inspired by the very museum in which it is displayed. Something Sketchy, features sketches created by over a dozen local artists.
The Bell Museum has long been a popular destination for sketching, which inspired curator Jennifer Menken to begin the Sketch Night program. The program has doubled in size since its launch and has developed a steady following of regulars who attend each Sketch Night, held the first Thursday of the month during the academic year. Additionally, the Sketch Night program has created a rich collection of artwork, which will be on display in Something Sketchy.
The exhibit also features an interactive station where you can try sketching and then display your finished products!
Join fellow artists of all levels and ages at Sketch Night, the first Thursday evening of the month. Participation is free with museum admission, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Sketch Night meets in the Touch & See Discovery Room.
