Scheduling a Visit

Ready to sign up? Follow this simple process:


  1. Please read our FAQ before proceeding to the next step. This will help answer many of your questions about the ExploraDome Outreach program.
  2. Ensure your facility can meet the visit requirements needed to house the dome
  3. Learn about our programs or let us create a custom lesson to meet your needs. The dome can hold 32 people in each session. Up to 10 sessions can be accommodated during one day, or for groups, up to 3 sessions per hour.
  4. Learn about the program cost for your type of group, listed below:

    The cost to schools is $200/hour, minimum three hours, or $1,100 per day, plus travel expenses for destinations outside the Twin Cities Metro Area. Please check the ExploraDome homepage for scholarship availability to help cover costs.
    Length: 6-10 shows per day, individual shows very in length from 30-50 minutes each
    Group Size: 25-30 students per show plus 1-3 adults

    Other Organizations
    Other organizations may enjoy the wonder of the universe through an ExploraDome visit. The cost is $200/hour, minimum three hours.

    Corporations or Individuals
    The ExploraDome can be rented for private or corporate events on a limited basis. Contact us at (612) 626-9660 for more details.

  5. Search our calendar for available dates. Reservations must be made at least two weeks before the visit.

ExploraDome staff will contact you directly to select dates and answer any questions you may have.

Once final program details are finalized, we'll send you a visit agreement for signature. In the meantime, download materials to prepare your students for the visit.
